Party Leader Guidlines
Steps to follow when opening and closing the LodgeOpening
- Party Leader switch on - just inside the Switch Board room, door down to the right
- Turn on instant hot water in the lounge - switch inside cupboard under the sink
- Light in the foyer and outside - leave on at night
- No ski boots in the lounge, bunkrooms or carpeted areas
- Turn off drying room fans unless really required
- Keep fire exits clear at all times and fire doors closed
- Conserve water - one shower per day
- All windows shut and curtains drawn
- All heaters and stereo off
- Store room locked and all food shortages noted
- Stove switches off
- Instant hot water in lounge - turn off switch under the sink
- Toasters and electric jug turned off
- Fridge doors left open and no perishable food left lying around
- Lodge left neat and tidy
- Party Leader switch off
- Lock all outside doors and foyer doors
- Rubbish bags to the Top of the Bruce/Recycle Stn Whakapapa Village
- All occupants to read lodge rules on the notice board and to take particular notice of the fire safety and Eruption procedures
- Advise all Occupants to read lodge rules on the notice board and to take particular notice of the fire safety procedures
- Remind Occupants of Lodge rule 22 and to sign book on leaving
- Party Leader is responsible for collecting fees from 'extras' staying in the lodge
- Daily duties - occupants to complete in a timely manner
- Drying room to be used for all wet gear - don't dry gear on bunkroom heaters
- Power is expensive on the mountains - turn off anything not being used
- Occupants to keep bunkroom floors clear of packs and gear
- All liquor to be stored in the lounge or lockers
- Put food out for Dinner and Lunch when Supervisors are off duty
- Juniors - alcohol consumption, only with Parent/Sponsors consent and their company
- Conserve water - one shower per day
